Summary: We had a nice stay at Moxy Lisbon. The hotel is very clean, and as always with Moxy, the experience is fun and welcoming. That said, compared with other Moxy hotels we’ve stayed at before, this one felt a little less impressive in terms of design and overall space. The pool is a great amenity, especially for families, but there are only a few chairs available and the pool area feels quite limited in size, so it can get crowded quickly. The breakfast was good overall, but we had an issue with the kids’ breakfast policy. The staff initially told us that children below 12 eat free and would not include our 12-year-old. As Marriott Bonvoy members, we know the policy applies to children 12 and under, not only under 12. We had to look up the policy and show it to the staff before it was accepted. This seemed to be a misunderstanding from one team member, as the rest of the staff were extremely helpful and accommodating. A great nice touch is the two complimentary drinks offered at check-in. The team was friendly, smiling, and always in a good mood, which made the stay enjoyable. The location is excellent. It’s not in the middle of the old town, but it’s a great family-friendly area with easy access to what you need. Overall, a good stay with a few areas that could be improved.
